Chandarana Supermarket is set to open a 18,000 plus square foot store at Tilisi, another major milestone for the fast-growing mixed-use development, bringing everyday shopping closer to residents.
The supermarket will be the anchor tenant of Maisha Mall, a project owned by Maisha Developments, the company behind Maisha Mema, Maisha Makao, and Maisha Mapya, all residential projects within Tilisi.
Construction is scheduled to begin in Q4 2027, with completion estimated to occur around Q4 2029.
In Kenya, mixed-use developments are going beyond selling homes to creating communities where people can live, work, and play without travelling long distances for basic services.
On the other side of town, Tatu City is already providing such services, with Naivas Supermarket operational and serving both residents and people from the surrounding areas. The store has become one of the key amenities supporting daily life within the development.
Once the Mall is complete, residents are expected to enjoy a wide range of services under one roof.
Besides Chandarana Supermarket, the mall is planned to have eateries, sports facilities, and several other retail outlets, making everyday errands quicker and more convenient.
Plans for Tilisi also include a fuel station, a clinic, and other amenities as the development continues to expand.
